Fraymedia Foundation support to African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC) 2025 Fellows

Fraymedia Foundation is supporting 9 woman journalists, media owners and media professionals to attend the annual African Investigative Journalists Conference (AIJC), in Johannesburg, South Africa, 5-7 November 2025.

The African Investigative Journalism Conference is the largest gathering of working investigative journalists and media professionals on the continent. Hosted by the Wits Centre for Journalism in Johannesburg, South Africa, AIJC is now in its 21st year.

The fraymedia Foundation will support investigative journalists, media owners and media professionals with full access tickets and side events, to the 3-day conference. In creating a community where women in media can thrive, lead and shape the industry, fraymedia Foundation is supporting women in media to take up the vast learning, upskilling and networking opportunities which are presented by the conference.


Are you interested to be a fraymedia Foundation AIJC Fellow 2025? Please provide the following to bongiwe@fraymediafoundation.org, no later than 24 October 2025:


  • 500 word Motivation letter of your interests to attend the AIJC, your thematic areas/field(s)/topic(s) of interest, and the value the conference will bring to your career/profession.

  • Updated CV/Resume,

  • with a 4-6 line bio,

  • and a high-resolution JPEG or PNG bio image.

  • Confirmation that you will be able to attend the AIJC between 5-7 November 2025, Johannesburg, covering your own travel and accommodation costs. A letter of agreement will be sent to selected participants.


Upon selection to become a fraymedia Foundation AIJC Fellow 2025, you will be required to produce a written article/podcast/video/photo feature or any creative output of one or more of the AIJC sessions attended during the conference, and their usefulness to your career objectives.  The article/creative output must be published within 2 weeks of the conference, and the fraymedia Foundation must be acknowledged in the output/piece.
